The Kia Niro in Lee on Solent, Hampshire
A firm family favorite, the Niro is beautifully designed and packed with useful features like a head-up display and a powered tailgate (‘4’) and Highway Driving Assist (‘3’) for semi-autonomous driving. Choose from hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric powertrains, with the PHEV offering an electric range of around 40 miles and the Niro EV offering a range of over 280 miles. The stylish body oozes quality, with LED headlights, alloy wheels up to 18” and a gorgeous profile befitting of the finest crossovers.
Choose from ‘2’, ‘3’ and ‘4’ trim grades. ‘4’ models top the range with a tilt-slide sunroof, Harman Kardon audio, vegan leather upholstery, heated rear outer seats, a head-up display, and a powered tailgate. ‘3’ models have heated front seats, half faux leather seats, wireless charging and front parking sensors. All models have Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop/Go, and Lane Follow Assist.
Design
The Niro’s elevated ground clearance, roof rails, LED headlights and sleek styling give it a classy aura. ‘3’ and ‘4’ hybrid and PHEV models ride on 18” alloys. Inside, ‘3’ and ‘4’ models get a 10.25” touchscreen (standard in all EV models).
Drive
Whether you choose hybrid, PHEV or electric power, all models deliver a smooth drive, and all versions have smart driving aids. Even ‘2’ models get rear parking sensors and a reversing camera, with semi-autonomous Highway Driving Assist standard from ‘3’.
Practicality
Hybrid models have a 451-litre boot, PHEV models have a 348-litre boot, and EV models have a 475-litre boot. ‘4’ models have a smart powered tailgate, and all versions have ISOFIX points on the rear outermost seats for child seats.
Living with it
Smart Cruise Control with Stop/Go and Lane Keep Assist comes as standard, letting you semi-automate your driving. All models have Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, with in-built navigation standard with the 10.25” touchscreen.
